US Airways Moved Into AA’s JFK Terminal 8 Today…DoJ What?

by Adam

DoJ what? Today, US Airways moved all JFK operations from Terminal 7 to American’s spiffy Terminal 8, despite a pending lawsuit to stop the merger. Thanks once again to PMttP reader Mary in Tucson, we have the full announcement from the US internal intranet site:

US Airways Moves to Terminal 8 at JFK
US Airways flights took off Wednesday from their new home at Terminal 8, the American Airlines terminal at JFK. Previously located in Terminal 7, our two airlines now are side by side as we continue the merger planning process in preparation for merger close. Terminal 8 is bigger and newer, and provides a modern, attractive environment, which translates to an enhanced customer experience. American has complete responsibility for operating and maintaining the facility, in addition to having an experienced workforce in place to take care of the entire terminal building. Learn more about the move in this week’s Arrivals.

US has also moved to the new D terminal in Las Vegas, right next to the AA gates.

Good move…. T7 at JFK is the worst terminal at that airport.
