How You Can Earn Over 10,000 United Miles this Holiday Season

United’s MileagePlus Shopping is a running a promotion until November 24, 2015, which they are calling “Holiday Early Access”. Through this promotion you can earn up to 6,000 bonus United miles when you make at least $1,250.00 in purchases via the MileagePlus Shopping during the promotional period.

Those bonus miles are in addition to the standard bonus miles you would regularly earn for MileagePlus Shopping purchases, hence the opportunity to earn over 10,000 miles. In other words, assuming you spend $1,250.00 and are able to earn on average 4 miles per dollar for your purchases, you will be able to earn 5,000 miles directly from those purchases plus the 6,000 miles bonus.

The terms and conditions of this promotion are the following:

As you can see, even if you are unable to reach the $1,250.00 level in purchases, you can still earn 3,000 bonus miles if you make at least $650 in purchases or 1,500 bonus miles if you make at least $350 in purchases via the MileagePlus Shopping during the promotional period.

As is usually the case, most merchants will be offering increased bonus miles for eshopping purchases this Holiday period, so this is a great opportunity to truly maximize the number of miles you can earn.

Happy shopping!

  1. Sounds great but… can’t find any info about this promo on UA site or Mileage Plus shopping site, nor have I received any email offers… is there a link? Registration required? etc. Thanks for this blog!

    • @Marjorie – Was notified of the offer via email as part of 2-day preview yesterday. I expect it to become public by tomorrow or Monday at the latest.

  2. RE: The 6,000-10,000 Mileage Plus shopping bonus.

Adam: If you read the targeted email *carefully* it says that the targeted bonus offer is a PREVIEW— allowing special access 2 days early.

Thus for those that did not receive the email, the offer *DOES NOT* start for the general public until Sunday, November 8, 2015.

Hence the 2 day special PREVIEW.

So if you haven’t received the offer [I did, but my wife was not targeted] any purchases you’ve made will not count as part of the offer.

I would be sure to update your post to not confuse readers of your blog.
