Norwegian Air has launched a 4 day sale with major price drops to 3 Irish cities – Dublin, Shannon, and Belfast from New York and Boston for $89.30 one-way through October 26th. There’s three catches:
- You’ll have to fly from Stewart International Airport (SWF) – 60 miles north of NYC, though shuttle bus options are priced at $20 or from Providence/Boston-TF Green (PVD)
- Return fares are pricing between $120 – $299 depending on your return date
- You will be flying with Norwegian Air which means you should consider a few things – no checked baggage included with your standard ticket, always the potential that your new 737-8 MAX aircraft is replaced with an older aircraft that’s leased from a contracted carrier (happened to three friends)
- Also be aware that reader Mike points out that “the 737 is just seats so you need to plan for lesser niceties and an older seat and plane. I looked at a flight in May on Google flights and it indicates leg room of 30in which I think means its the 737. Also, SWF is super small so although there is a store and grab n go, its nothing like the choices you would get at JFK. A deal is a deal though and once in DUB or whatever city you get to, the fun begins. Cheers!”

They only fly the 737-8 MAX on these routes, brand new aircraft just delivered…..
Hey Adam, out of SWF they are flying 737s and not the new long range type (at least yet I dont think). We caught a similar fare last year and had a great time but the 787 to Oslo, for instance, has video, in-seat ordering, etc. The 737 is just seats so you need to plan for lesser niceties and an older seat and plane. @Mike – Thanks for those details! I’ve updated the post with your comment!
