A suit was filed today by a New Jersey man who claims he was urinated on by a drunk passenger aboard UA 1871 from Los Angeles (LAX) to Newark (EWR).
According to Fox, the heavily inebriated passenger boarded the flight, found his seat in row 24, and “took out his penis and aimed it at the passenger and proceeded to urinate all over his leg”. The man says he couldn’t move during the incident as the flight was about to take off.
The flight crew was alerted but refused to relocate the drenched passenger. After several additional requests, the passenger says he was moved from his urine soaked seat, but was trapped in his wet clothing for the remainder of the flight. The FBI met the plane at Newark, but the passenger says they were not called by United, instead the passenger’s father alerted them to the incident.
As for the drunk passenger, he of course has no recollection of the incident at all. His last memory was consuming 4 rum and cokes at the airport bar in LA.
The suit claims United is responsible for assault, negligence, breach of contract, and emotional distress. United did not provide comment to Fox given the pending nature of the suit.
