Uber promotion codes for existing riders are a pretty rare breed these days. (Of course, there’s the $200 in yearly Uber credit as a perk of the Platinum Card from American Express.)
However, I received an email this afternoon for $20 in free Uber credit (good for existing users like myself) that is valid from today though 11:45pm PST on May 19. This is likely a targeted outreach and there’s no actual code in the email itself. It’s one-time use and tied directly to your Uber account.
The promotion is a plug for Renaissance Hotels’ self-made holiday today, the Global Day of Discovery. Now its seventh year, the Global Day of Discovery is meant to spotlight the Renaissance Hotel Navigator at 160 hotels in over 35 countries.
The navigator is basically a concierge — but “knows how to show guests how to discover destinations like a local by handpicking discoveries that cannot be found in a guidebook.”
