New York hotels are notoriously expensive, but to celebrate Hotel Week NYC, you can book selected hotels for just $100 or $200 a night. Hotel Week NYC was created to offer deals right after the holiday season, when hotel occupancies drop significantly. If you are visiting New York between January 6 – 15, 2017, this is worth looking at.
For example, you can stay at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Tribeca for $100 a night, excluding taxes and fees (which come to ~$18).
Refinery Hotel was named one of the Top 40 hotels in New York City, by Conde Nast Traveler’s 2016 Readers’ Choice Awards. I stayed there last year, and was really impressed with the design of the hotel, and happy with my stay. (Side note, because I’m astute and observant weird with toiletries, they used to offer Le Labo amenities, but now offer Beekman 1802 products). They are one of the participating hotels, and you can get a room for $200.
There are currently only 16 hotels committed to the promotion, but Hotel Week NYC claims that they are constantly adding new hotels. Many of these are boutique hotels, so it should make for a fun experience. However, with the limited number of rooms small hotels have, availability can also quickly run out. Most bookings can be made online, but some properties require you to call in and mention “Hotel Week.” You can check out the full list here.
As always, be sure to comparison shop. Like I mentioned, early January can be a slow season for New York hotels, and other properties might very well be offering their own promotions.
