Repurposing Hotel Key Cards & Other Hotel Room Tips

by Adam

Last week, Lifehacker challenged their readers to share their best hotel room hacks. The winning entry belongs to a reader who explains how he repurposes his old key cards to control certain phone functions like Airplane Mode and GPS. An NFC hotel key card (the kind you touch/hold in front of the door to open) is required, which means the magnetic swipe cards will not work for this trick. I like a few of the runner-up entries as well, including several great uses for binder clips and the built-in beer opener. See the full list here.
