A male British Airways crew member was arrested during a layover in Singapore on suspicion of raping a female flight attendant. The suspect is in Singapore police custody and British Airways says that they are “cooperating with the police investigation and offering full support to our cabin crew.”
The rape apparently occurred during a party that the crew had after arriving from Heathrow. The accuser has been moved to a separate hotel and she was replaced on the next leg to Sydney. The Daily Mail is reporting that BA also sent a replacement crew to Singapore as well as a manager who could “manage the crisis”.
