Do you have a small panic attack at the thought of packing for a trip? Are you a Type-A personality? Come on. Be honest. I won’t check your sun sign or even ask your travel partners for their opinion 🙂 But then again, maybe these travel accessories are for anyone wanting to be even a little less stressed when traveling. Not only do they keep your suitcase and items organized, they’ll also make packing easier for every trip.
The Best Travel Accessories for Stress-Free Packing
Packing Cubes
I’ve written a bunch about packing cubes. I know they have their fans and their boo-to-packing-cubes critics. I still maintain that packing cubes are an overwhelmed traveler’s best friend. They help with outfit organization, folding, and fitting everything in your suitcase. Plus, once at your accommodations, all you have to do is unzip the packing cubes and place their contents in the dresser or just place the cubes themselves in the drawers.

Pouches
Pouches have so many uses. Like packing cubes, organizational pouches are great packing hacks for folding and organizing clothes. Actually, they can be used to store and organize any kind of items. I prefer waterproof ones because you never know! You can use good old plastic baggies, or invest in some sturdier, reusable and washable options, like these.
Toiletry Bag
If you travel with lots of travel-sized beauty and toiletry products, you might want to make sure they stay organized and don’t spill out. Some people prefer the bags they can hang. I’ve been using the same ones from Eagle Creek for a while now but I’ll admit that I never really liked them much. I keep looking for others. Of course, we can also use the amenity kit bags we get when we travel in business or first class. Those work well, too. These travel organizers are great for storing and traveling with toiletries.
Electronic Cord Organizer
No doubt about it, either we keep our devices and cords neatly stored and organized or we’re traveling with a tangled mess. A while ago I saw someone on a plane pull out the most organized electronic storage kit and it inspired me. Why? Every time I take a trip it seems like I’m packing more and more electronics. Keeping them organized just keeps it simple. That’s reason enough for me. To help manage your devices and chargers, I recommend traveling with a cord organizer like this one from JOTO or this one from BUBM.
Pill Organizers
If you’re traveling with vitamins or medication, a pill organizer can save space and help keep your pills organized. This is especially true if you take certain ones on certain days or at certain times of day. Using plastic baggies just doesn’t seem to work as well. These travel accessories are great for medication, vitamins, or for a traveler’s first-aid kit.
Passport Wallet
Do you keep all your travel documents or credit cards together in one carrier? Keeping your boarding pass, passport, money, cards, and identification all in one place can streamline your time at the airport. Even if you separate out your money and credit cards, keeping like with like together and organized still makes sense. I like these three travel organizer options for men, women, or unisex.
Laptop Case
I’m always shocked when I see people who don’t cover their laptops when traveling or using them away from home. I’m super protective of my laptop. I actually recommend using two covers, one that stays on the laptop and one that’s a sleeve. Some people even like a sleeve with an external pocket for pens and such. In any case, why not protect your laptop and organize business travel items with a travel organizer laptop case? This bag fits everything in one compact space.
Final Thoughts
We all take our personalities along with us on every trip. So whether you’re a Type-A, Type-007, or like me someone who doesn’t type very well at all, a bit more organization does lead to less stress. Less stress means more fun, so that’s always my main motivation 🙂
