by Shelli Stein

Expressing gratitude is without a doubt a worthy life-long practice: all year, every year. As a health and wellness professional, it’s a topic I often write about. So given that Hyatt is my longtime hotel brand of choice, it’s nice to see them offering up their gratitude for our gratitude to the tune of 500 Hyatt Bonus Points for nurturing our well-being. Today is Hyatt’s third annual Hyatt Global Day of Gratitude. Yes, I know it’s smart marketing, yet smart marketing in the name of remembering to express gratitude is a win for us all.

How Hyatt’s Global Day of Gratitude Works

Today, Wednesday, December 9, 2020 Hyatt is offering 500 Bonus Points for completing a guided meditation from Headspace in the World of Hyatt app.

  • Open the World of Hyatt app. If you don’t have it already, download it here.
  • Complete one of Hyatt’s custom Headspace exercises — Unwind, Reflect or Sleep
  • Enjoy 500 Bonus Points just for nurturing your well-being.

Hyatt Global Day of Gratitude promotion reminds us that expressing gratitude positively impacts how we feel about ourselves and the world around us. Hyatt is encouraging guests, members, customers and colleagues around the globe to take a moment to show gratitude by visiting hyatt.com/gratitude to send a “Gift of Gratitude” message to someone for whom they are grateful or who has made a difference in their lives.

On an even larger scale, Hyatt’s “Gifts of Gratitude” website will be open year-round! This allows anyone to share multiple gratitude notes to anyone in the world on an ongoing basis. Hyatt’s hope is for people to embrace gratitude as a mindset, not just today but throughout the year.

More Hyatt Benefits for Healthcare Workers

Additionally, and in the spirit of showing gratitude for those that have made an impact throughout the ongoing pandemic, Hyatt continues to show its appreciation for the heroes who tirelessly care for their communities.

Hyatt announced a special “friends & family” rate code:THANKYOU exclusively for healthcare workers. Hyatt invites them to take a much-needed rest with their loved ones, when they are ready and able.

The rate requires healthcare workers to provide proper identification and validation of professional status. This offer is available for stays through September 12, 2021. More information about this offer and other ways that Hyatt is supporting healthcare heroes can be found here.

Final Thoughts

Taking a moment, or two, or three, to express gratitude is always a good idea. True, sometimes we have to be bribed into remembering mindfulness. But perhaps once reminded, the practice just might stick!
