Best Way to Search For Hyatt Hotels Anywhere in the World

by Shelli Stein

Sometimes when we plan our travels we have an exact location and a particular hotel in mind. Sometimes, though, we’re feeling more flexible in our plans. Maybe we don’t even have a plan but want to use hotel points or a free night certificate we receive from our Hyatt credit card and will plan according to that choice. But how to search for Hyatt hotels isn’t always as easy as you’d think……..until now.

How many points are required per night and where our free night certificates can be used is often confusing, right?

Recently a friend asked me about his Hyatt free night award that came with his credit card and where best to use it. That lead to a discussion about the different Hyatt hotel categories and how many points were needed for each category. That topic then lead to which hotels were at which category level, and frankly my head began to hurt!

I took a deep breath and told him I had to dig in, research a bit, and get back to him. I found a simple way to access all this Hyatt information and wanted to make sure you were aware of how to search for this information as well.

If you want to book a Hyatt hotel stay on points or use a free night award certificate but didn’t quite know where, here’s my tip. It’s the best way to search for Hyatt hotels I’ve found. It enables you to look for hotels by category level and see how many points are necessary.

How to Search for Hyatt Hotels

Below is a link that you can use to view the different hotel categories. When you click on the specific category number it will take you to the hotels under that category. You do not need to be signed in to your account to view this on the website.

This is also helpful because some free night award certificates are restricted in which Hyatt hotel categories you can use them at. Tips like these are great because when we’re planning our travels, simple and easy searches for what we want save time and energy.

Anyone have something similar for Hilton or Marriott properties they use when searching hotels? Don’t hesitate to share it!
