On Wednesday, I posted about an offer that could earn readers 1000 American, Delta, United, or US Airways miles. Well, it’s very clear that readers love opportunities to earn free miles, the post was wildly popular.  With the significant number of hits I was able to perform a quick analysis to determine what airline was most often selected for the promo:

United Airlines – 54.22%
American Airlines – 32.05%
US Airways – 7.95%
Delta Air Lines – 5.78%

Full disclosure, the post was titled 1,750 UA miles, which most likely skewed the results. Overall though they are not that surprising, Delta is definitely one of the most difficult in terms of low price redemption opportunities while both United and American have generally good availability on their metal as well as their partners. I’m actually a little surprised that US Airways wasn’t higher given the generous Star Alliance routings, though I suspect several readers may be holding back for the Grand Slam promotion.  Then again, several readers may have used the 1000 mile offer to extend the life of an account that may have been set to expire.

Are you surprised by the results?

Well… not if you know how to find them and what other airline gives you 3 trips for the price of two?!?

Gotta love my Delta!
