Two easy offers to start your day that net you 1,750 UA miles:
1000 UA MileagePlus miles for signing up for Thanks Again
First, go here to sign up for a Thanks Again account (you need an account before you can register for the promo).
Next, go here to register for the 1000 point promo, a VISA card and cell phone number are required. Click the existing member link on the bottom right.
Next, once logged in to Thanks Again, click the My Account link and you’ll see a banner ad on the right side of the screen stating “Want to get rewards on-the-go?” click there and go through the registration process.
That’s it, you should have your points in 4-6 weeks. This is another one of those mobile / text offers so remember to unsubscribe once the points post if you are no longer interested in receiving text message offers.
Update (thanks Dan@Memphis) – You can choose to enroll with AA, Delta, or US Airways to earn 1000 points in their programs instead. Replace the UA registration link in step 1 with any of the following: AA, Delta, US and then follow the other steps as normal above. You could even potentially use this as a US Airways Grand Slam qualifying activity once that promo kicks off.
Update 2 – Several readers have been able to take advantage of the Thanks Again 1,000 mile offer with all participants including UA, AA, Delta, and US Airways by using different credit cards and pinger (text free) in the sign up process. However, note that this does violate the T&Cs that state one mileage bonus per household.
750 UA MileagePlus miles for signing up with MyPoints
Use this link to sign-up for MyPoints and earn 750 UA miles. The points should post in 6-8 weeks.
That’s it, 1,750 UA miles in a few minutes. Looking for other easy point earning opportunities, check this link.

If I unsubscribe from the text messages, will that prevent the points from posting?
@adam nobody knows but it’s definitely safe to unsubscribe once the point post. Reading the terms it seems like the points are or signing up so you can chance it but there’s no guarantee that you’ll get the points.
Any thoughts on ways to get additional text message numbers other than your primary cell phone? My google voice number doesn’t seem to work.
@mike – http://www.pinger.com/textfree
MyPoints is a total disaster, took 7 e-mails and 4 months after I finished their 30-day required wait to cancel my account for a measly 750 united points. Impossible to get a sentient being to answer an e-mail, they just keep saying things will take another 4-6 weeks. Not. Worth It.
So you provide your credit card info to Thanks again. Do they charge you any fees?
@ mint cilantro – no charges but they do track your spending habits.
I hate to have registered for 1000 points… I didn’t even enroll in their program. Now there is no way for me to delete my credit card info from Thanksagain ? Can I just delete my own account ?
@Gmash – I’m confused by your post, you cannot register for the promotion without first enrolling in the program (you must be signed in). If you did register you can change your card from active to inactive via the My Account link or you can email customer.service@thanksagain.com. Hope that helps.
Thanks Adam. It’s just that I do not want feel safe with these companies asking and storing Credit card info and not letting you delete the card. With all security breaches around, not sure how safe are the numbers hanging around with these guys with minimal security plus they even save it in their database instead of making it a one time use.
I do not see the option to deactivate my credit card. I’ll write to customer service. Thanks !

@Ford – I agree, MyPoints is not worth it. You definitely will not get the miles without putting up a fight. I’m still trying to get mine from when I signed up in March.
Just to let you know, you can get 1000 miles each from Delta, US Air & American by signing up with different email addresses.
Use gmail account & just put “.” in different places so email appears to be different. Also, use different account login name each time & different credit card. Just got 7500 points for my GF & me. THANKS

On the Thanks Again program — if you register a Chase Sapphire Preferred card with Thanks Again, will you get both UR points AND thanks again points if you make a qualifying purchase? Restaurants.com is earning 15x in UR this month, and certain TA restaurants are earning 3x when you purchase a certificate for them via TA — does that mean that you could get 18 points per dollar spent?
@HBR – Yes, you should receive both the UR points and the TA points for local purchases. How are you suggesting to earn both the UR and TA purchase points though for the certificates? UR requires you to go through their website and TA would require you to purchase the certificates through theirs.
