Today, China Eastern continues to strongly deny rumors that several members of its crew took part in a wild sexy orgy at a karaoke room in Madrid during a scheduled layover. A tape posted to Chinese social media site Weibo appears to show six naked individuals dancing and having sex. Rumors began to immediately circulate on Weibo that they were 2 male and 4 female China Eastern flight attendants. The videos have since been censored on the site, though the top two search terms today both include “Eastern Airlines” according to The Daily Mail.
China Eastern is claiming that those who produced and shared the video are intentionally setting out to ruin the airline’s reputation and that this is all part of a business dispute. Twitter users are also claiming that the video appears to be shot in Thailand or Africa and not Madrid (not sure how one can tell that from the dark club video).
China Eastern says that they will provide an updated statement on the “fake video” some time today.
