Fly Emirates First Class For Under $1000 Roundtrip, $650 Oneway

by Chris Dong

It’s been a crazy week of incredible fares. The week started off with Cathay Pacific’s wild $800 first class roundtrips from Vietnam to North America. Now, it will conclude with another screaming deal originating in Asia—less than $1000 roundtrip or around $650 oneway on Emirates first class.

As broken by Lucky over at One Mile at a Time, you can fly from Kuala Lumpur to Dubai on a Malaysia Airlines codeshare for around $1300. However, if you make it a multi-city itinerary, like starting off in Hanoi and ending in Penang, you can drop the price as low as $997.

Regular fares are around $7500 roundtrip so we’re talking significant savings but not exactly Cathay’s deal of the century from a week ago where cash prices routinely exceed $15,000.

While Emirates is an Alaska Airlines partner, mileage earning is a bit tricky as crediting to Alaska isn’t possible (at least officially).

Another note: the long haul segment has to be marketed as Malaysia Airlines in the “A” fare class. “A” is business class on Malaysia (a recent change) but first class on Emirates. While there is no absolute guarantee that this “A” fare will map over to first on Emirates, it is highly likely.

The long haul Emirates flights are operated by a mix of Boeing 777-300 and A380 aircraft, the latter of which features the airline’s famous onboard bar. Book through an OTA like Orbitz to find the deal, you won’t be able to find it through Google Flights.

From Cathay Pacific to Air New Zealand to Alitalia and now, Emirates / Malaysia, its been a fun week of incredible fare “sales.”
