We all have our favorite airlines and miles programs. When promotions come around, buying miles and points in these programs works to our advantage. I never recommend buying points speculatively, but it always pays to stay up on the latest offers and price them out. If the math makes sense for you and you have a use in mind, promotions like these can come in handy.

IHG is offering an 80% bonus when you purchase at least 5,000 IHG points. Offer expires on December 28. Next year is going to be my explore IHG properties year. I have a heaping helping of IHG points in my account, and I’m going to start using them. Please don’t tell Hyatt, though!
Maybe some of these promotions are of value to you right now, or maybe you’re still making your travel plans for the coming year and one of these promotions can top up an account and sway your travel choice. Maybe these promotions don’t work for you at all. No matter which of these scenarios is true for you, I’m thinking an informed miles and points enthusiast is the best kind to be!
